Activated carbon filters - AK, technically oil-free air
Operating range: This filter removes all gaseous hydrocarbons, oil vapours or. odour substances.
The 2-step adsorption effect has a large adsorption surface resulting in a longer service life and high economic efficiency in usage. The stainless steel support cladding and filter material hold the activated carbon firmly in its seat and ensure that there is no activated carbon particle present in the filtrate.
Important: To increase the service life of the filter, an SMF filter should be installed upstream. Applications: Activated carbon filters are applied to instrument and control air in the chemical, petro-chemical and pharmaceutical industry, as well as in the food, beverage and process industries, as well as in bottling plants, for packaging machines and generating breathing air and pre-filtration of sterile filters. We recommend the upstream connection of a prefilter and microfilter to increase the service life.
Materials: Housing: Aluminium (F version: steel) with blue polyester resin coating, filter medium: fine milled activated carbon, embedded in microfiber fleece free of binding agents, O-rings: NBR (silicone and free of releasing agent), support casing: Stainless steel
Temperature range: +10°C to +40°C max. (temporary +60°C max.)
Input pressure: 1 - 16 bar
Residual oil content (with inlet concentration of 0.1 mg/m³ - SMF pre-filter installed): < 0.003 mg/m³
Scope of delivery: Filter housing, filter element
*at +20°C and 7 bar overpressure
